The Silentflex® cylindrical rubber mount consists of a cylindrical rubber element to which cylindrical metal plates are attached on both sides. If the anti-vibration mount is used as a rubber stop (buffer), the metal plate is attached on one side only.

The vibration damper works in compression (axial direction), shear (radial direction) and compression–shear (depending on installation). The shear operation of this shock absorber provides excellent vibration isolation, provided that the radial load is not too high. If greater elasticity is required in all directions, it is recommended to use a vibration damper with a rubber element in the shape of a diabolo.

The cylindrical rubber mount has 5 mounting options:

1. Threaded hole on one side and rubber on the other side (rubber stop);
2. Threaded rod on one side and rubber on the other side (rubber stop);
3. Threaded rod on one side, threaded hole on the other side;
4. Threaded rod on both sides;
5. Threaded hole on both sides.

Cylindrical dampers are often installed in load sifters, vibrating screens, feeder hoppers, vibrating tables, motors, electrical panels and measuring instruments. They can also be used in motor fans, motor pumps, generator sets and other equipment.
